I Can't Guarantee Presidential Elections Will Hold March 28 -Jega

Since the postponement of the elections, there has been doubts about the new date fixed by INEC.
In a new report ,according to Saharareporters, the chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Attahiru Jega has revealed to the Senate at a meeting on Wednesday, that he could not guarantee the 2015 general elections will hold on rescheduled dates in March and April which it has been postponed to.

Jega said INEC can't guarantee aspects of the poll that are beyond its control. INEC said the postponement was for security reasons. INEC made the announcement few days before the initial date February 14, it was shifted to March 28. Although Nigerian law permits six weeks extension, opposition party APC accuses the president of instigating the delay to save him and the ruling party from losing the elections to their candidate, Muhammadu Buhari.

Since announcing the new dates nearly two weeks ago, the commission has declinced to clearly confirm that there will be no further delay beyond March 28 and April 11, for presidential, governorship and state assembly pools.
