INEC Postpones 2015 General Elections

Prof. Attahiru Jega's is currently making a speech on the postponement of the election stating that 26 of 28 political parties in Nigeria were consulted before the decision was taken to postpone the elections.”

Jega's tenure ends by June and he is entitled to 3 months terminal leave before his tenure ends...  

The presidential election will now hold March 28th and the governorship will hold April 11th.

Jega further stated that ”Nobody has forced them to take this decision. We stand by it because it is the right decision to take under the circumstances" he said
